ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Take a break from the world of super-competitive kids’ sports and join us for a free, fun, low-key program that helps kids get their exercise, have fun, and get excited about running.

The program runs seasonally, with once-a-week practices. Practice starts with stretching and group exercises and then breaks into age groups to run. Parents/guardians are welcome to (but not required to) run with their kids. Kids get one bracelet each time they complete a lap to help keep track of how far they’ve run. (At the end of the night, they return the bracelets so we can do it all again the following week.)

The season culminates in a 5k race and pizza party.

Please note: the program is not drop-off.
We have SRR members at the track who are excited to run with your kids, but we still need a guardian on site for safety. The program is only open to Somerville residents and children of Somerville Road Runners members.
