Learning to BREATHE for Teens: Mindfulness Program

Somerville Parks and Recreation Teen Programming and The City of Somerville Human Services Department are teaming up to offer this FREE mindfulness program-- Learning to BREATHE, a Mindfulness Curriculum for Adolescents to Cultivate Emotion Regulation, Attention, and Performance.
This will be a 6-week program on Wednesdays, 3:30-5:00 pm, from May 8-June 12.
Location: Powderhouse Teen Space (850 Broadway Somerville MA 02144)
 
This program will focus on learning and practicing mindfulness strategies and activities, including decorating and using your own journal, meditation, body scans, mindful movement, outdoor activities and practices, and more! We will offer snacks each week, and as always, the opportunity to hang out with your friends, and meet new ones, while practicing mindfulness—a tool that could benefit all of our lives!
 
Limited spots so only sign up if your teen can make it to all weekly sessions! We also ask that you, yourself, are mindful when registering your teen. This program will be most beneficial to teens that are choosing to register-- teens that wish to join this program and are showing up, ready to learn and participate, is what we are looking for!
