Baby First Aid Practice

This course will prepare your child to become a competent babysitter.  Your child will learn to care for infants to school aged children and perform tasks such as diapering, preparing simple meals, and dressing. 

General Information
  • The class is designed for 9 to 16 year olds.
  • Your child will learn how to care for infants through school age children and perform tasks such as diapering, preparing simple meals, and dressing.
  • In addition, the course will offer ideas for toys and games to play with the children.
  • Your child will learn how to handle emergencies and focus on safe care of infants and children.
  • All participants will receive a Somerville Parks and Recreation Babysitting Certificate
