The Teen Art Lounge is an exciting pilot program designed for teens in grades 7–12 who have an active Teen Program Membership. This open, drop-in art space offers a relaxed and creative environment where teens can hang out, make art, and express themselves freely. There are no structured lessons—just space to create whatever they want, whenever they want.
Whether you're painting, sketching, collaging, or experimenting with new materials, our fully stocked art cart has everything you need. We'll also have snacks to stay fueled and an art projector for watching interactive videos, finding inspiration, listening to music, or screening a movie. Our friendly staff will be on hand to provide support and guidance.
Location: 169 Holland Street, Room 203M, Somerville, MA 02144
Dates: Wednesdays February 4-March 4 (skip February 18)
Time: 3:30–5:00 PM
We are looking to extend the program dates if we get enough participation, so tell your friends and drop by to be part of something creative.
We ask that all participants independently clean up their space before leaving, so the room is left as it was found.
Participation Requirements:
- Teens must have an active Teen Program Membership to drop in.
- Parents/Guardians: If you do not allow your teen to drop in freely, you can register them specifically for this program below
Come as you are, make what you want, and join a welcoming community of young artists.
