TEEN PROGRAM MEMBERSHIP WILL OPEN SEPTEMBER 1, 2025
The Teen Program Membership is required for all Somerville youth participating in Teen Programs offered by Somerville Parks and Recreation. Membership is free and open to Somerville teens in grades 7–12 and provides access to a variety of free programs, events, and drop-in opportunities throughout the school year. Registering for a membership also adds you to our email list!

Teen Program Membership Length runs from September 1, 2025-August 31, 2026.
We offer a variety of programs, events, and trips. This year we are allowing drop ins, only if the teen is registered with "drop in programming allowed". Some programs will allow drop ins, others will require individual membership. This will be clearly labeled on each program flyer, all can be found on our Instagram page, @somervillerecteens.

A parent or guardian over the age of 21 must complete the membership registration on behalf of the teen. By registering, they are acknowledging and agreeing to all rules, expectations, and policies outlined in the Teen Program Handbook. Membership ensures we have the necessary emergency contact, medical, and permission information on file, and members will receive regular updates about upcoming programs and events.
New "Drop In" Policy
When registering for a Teen Program Membership, parents/guardians will be asked: “Do you allow your teen to attend drop-in programs?”
- If YES: Your teen may participate in approved drop-in programs (such as open gym or art lounge) without additional registration. Drop-ins reduce the need for multiple registrations and help maximize access for teens.
- If NO: Your teen may still attend programs, but you must register them for each program individually. This ensures your teen only participates in activities you specifically approve.
